At HAYA, we believe leadership is essential: not just for our community, but for personal growth and lifelong success. Yet no one leads alone. As Swami Vivekananda said, “Take risks in your life. If you win, you can lead! If you lose, you can guide!” True leadership means uplifting others and walking a path rooted in purpose.
As a youth-led organization, we rotate leadership roles to give more members the chance to grow: especially those who may not have led before. Through mentorship and real responsibility, we’re building future leaders from within.

Saheth earned his B.S.E. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2023, where he graduated with high honors and led the award-winning student team UM::Autonomy as President. Now a Testing Engineer at SLB, he applies his passion for innovation to cutting-edge energy technologies.
Saheth founded HAYA after seeing how many young Hindu Americans, including himself, struggled to stay connected to their roots while growing up in the U.S. He wanted to build a space that felt welcoming, uplifting, and real: where faith, friendship, and curiosity could grow together.
