Does a member need to belong to a specific Hindu group?
Nope! In fact we welcome diversity of thought because we believe in growth through collaboration. Our education sessions will be held in a round table format rather than a traditional lecture system; we look forward to hearing your perspectives!
Can members participate fully remotely?
Yes, while we host most Engagement and Service team events in-person, our education team will primarily meet online!
Can members attend only social events without participating in other areas like volunteering or remote discussions?
Members are invited to engage in any of our three core pillars at their own pace and level of interest. Participation in one area is completely optional and does not require involvement in others. For instance, if you prefer joining virtual educational discussions, there's no expectation to take part in service initiatives unless you choose to do so.
What is the time commitment?
Your individual time commitment can be as much or as little as you want it to be!
Are there age restrictions when joining?
Nope! Our target age group is high school to late twenties, however anyone is welcome to join!
Where is HAYA located?
We are a decentralized organization with local chapters. Our first chapter is based primarily out of Lansing, Michigan.
Are there any membership fees to be a part of the club?
Nope, HAYA membership is completely free!
